After graduating from Toyo Eiwa Jogakuin Junior College and Setsu Mode Seminar in Japan, Mari Mitsumi started her career as an editor and illustrator for some years. She works as a freelance illustrator now and collaborates with various clients in books, editorial, and advertising.
Her works are the result of an elaborate prosess that begins with painting acrylic or drawing on canvas, scannning, and finishing up digitally as necessary.
Moreover she expands her artistic horizons to etching, sometimes has began to produce etchings combines them with digital paintings for her new technique.
Music, films and nature inspire her work.
